Cell C GPRS Settings

I am using a not yet release U300 (H3G UK Branded)

I cannot get a gprs connection (Error Code 367)
I have been provided the following settings from tech support:
Profile Name: smartdata
Homepage: http://www.cellc.co.za/wap
proxy: 196.31.116.250
apn name: internet
user/pass - both blank (forgot to ask if authentication was PAP or None - tried both)

Is there any tricks here.. the LG device has a profile section where you put homepage and proxy and other for APN and profile points to APN settings.

Also just make sure your sim is enabled on Cell C for GPRS..
Just a basic thought

Hi Bitfone

You do not have to use the WAP gateway to connect.For more reliable connections use the standard settings.

Set your APN name to "internet".No other additional settings required.No proxy address required , no password or username.

If you are using a dialup connection set you init string under you modem properties to at+cgdcont=1,"ip","internet"

as well as your dial string to *99****1#

Can some one please tell me where to get the cell-c gprs settings for a Imate Pda2k. Have been trying to get the settings from Cell-C for 4 weeks and i am now so cheesed that i want to shove the phone with packaging up the cell-c directors arse and yes no vasseline supplied thanks
