Planning to port myself & my 2 kids to Cell-C as soon as our VC contracts are up (end Sept) but for now looking for a tablet for my mom to keep in touch with email & facebook. Walk into Menlyn shop on Saturday, ******** consultant wastes half an hour before getting to the fact that they don't have stock.

Tried on the Cell-C website, click Get-it but it won't process due to Captcha that doesn't even display (don't have adblocker at work).

Page suggests Contact Cell C Direct now on 084 145, phone but they wanna give me directions to my nearest store as they don't know stock of their various outlets.

Who's got time for this ****? I could walk into Vodacom now & walk out with a tablet half an hour later if it weren't for their ridiculous 750mb/month data allowance.

Please tell me it'll get better, cos I'm starting to think maybe my plan to port my family to Cell-C is a really bad idea.

Buy a prepaid and test it first in your area.

It might frustrate you even more if you dont know what you getting yourself into

Yeah cellc outsources their stores so basically its a store that can do whatever they want.....

Better to get all your stuff through 084145

Took my upgrade only 2 days to be delivered to my house and have it in my hands..... You will also bypass any absurd fees and charges the store adds for their "service"

Don't go to Cell C for their service because you won't get any. I'm happy with my contract but only because I don't have any issues, it was however a painful experience when I moved from my Blackberry contract last year as the store staff know how to sell SIM cards but not much else.
