Cell C's unrecognised losses

Cell C needs to make roughly R2.2 billion in profit before majority shareholder Blue Label will once again recognise its contribution to the group's bottom line.

That's the word from Blue Label co-CEO Brett Levy regarding a note in the company's annual financial statements.
 
Blue label is the dumbest company to be in business. How in the world do you acquire shares in badly-run network like Cell C in the first instance?

They deserve what they are getting.

If only you knew. Like I say to many people, it's a miracle they got to be as big as they are, but then again, with those two boys, any scam is possible.
 
Sure it's not a SOE? Seems those guys follow the SA Gov's plan. Trying to bail them out. Like throwing spaghetti against a wall to see what will stick.
 
LOL, 3 more years of throwing money at it while not turning a profit. No guarantee of any profit afterwards.

Don't be so quick to judge. Blue Label is a major vendor of airtime and related products for which they get commission on multiple levels. It's in their interest for Cell C to stay afloat.

Unfortunately, business is not about sentiments but making sound decisions. Making a decision to buy Cell C was one of the most stupid ones and if you think they didn't f#&k up then I don't know how you came to that conclusion. All the evidence was/is there that this ship is headed for troubled seas.

Seems you don't understand. They can make more selling airtime than from Cell C itself.

Again, how does that help them when Cell C is losing them millions and millions of rands? They even decided not to report Cell C's financials until they get back to black.
