Cell C RAGE!!!!!!!!! [resolved]

So last week I upgrade on my RBM 200 to a Galaxy Nexus. For a week I hear nothing, so I phone them today.

This is what followed:
1. They have no record of me upgrading :(
2. They will upgrade me now :)
3. Can't get the Nexus, deal ended. :(
4. I point out it is still on the site
5. They say they will go check
6. I get cut off
7. They phone me back, and I can get the deal
8. They have no stock

WTF!!!!

Cell C is great as far as rates go. But the moment you need anything done it is always a nightmare.
 
That's why I won't move from Vodacom.

You get what you pay for. ;)
 
Cell C is incompetent! I had massive issues getting a contract from them and then massive issues getting them to fix it. Finally I said screw it and forced them to close it. They then still deducted money from my account months later. Forced them to refund it and send me a letter saying that they have deleted my banking details. Incompetence is king at Cell C.

MTN is also quiet useless with contracts, takes 7 to 10 working days to get it done.

Vodacom and Telkom Mobile... very smooth and easy process.

I went to a Cell C store and no one could tell me what was going on and no one seemed to know whether ReBull Mobile was still going either. Pathetic bunch.

I sent Cell_C a PM -here on the forum.
He messaged me back later the day asking for my phone number. I gave it to him, after which he said someone would call me the next day. The next day Thabo called and answered all the questions I had. Satisfied with the info, he did the upgrade over the phone for me. (The whole thing took no longer than 5 minutes)
2 days later the courier dropped off the phone -I just provided a copy of my ID and proof or residence.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
 
I seem to be having one of those weeks... everything I touch seems to unravel. Maybe I need to lie down a bit :D

I think most of the Cell C users on these forums know more about Cell C's products and services than their own staff. It's that bad unfortunately.
 
What annoys me the most about things like this is that Cell C offered no alternative. It's just a case of... oh, oops... I suppose it is because I don't spend a fortune a month
 
@^%& I also need to upgrade my RBM package soon. And wanted to go with the Nexus :mad:
 
I won't be taking a contract with cell c anytime soon for that reason I'll stick with prepaid though
 
To be honest, this was just the last straw. I've tried 3 times to update my wife's postal address with Cell C, her statement still ends up with the neighbour.

I think it's time I moved back to VC. They may be more expensive, but I never had any issues.
 
Well I just received an sms on my cell c phone that my burglar alarm sent me at 8:02. Also from.cell c.

Dude, that sucks.... But the problem is SMS in general. It is not a priority service, unless it is send via a priority provider :( Clearly Cell C marks their SMSs as low priority

Normally it arrives within seconds. Just today... it sucked ass.
 
So Cell C called me and said now they have the phone in stock and will upgrade me immediately.... but that is not really the point here. The point is they lost my order. oh well

They did what now? :wtf: So how come they knew you wanted to upgrade if they've lost your order? :wtf:
 
After waiting over a week I phoned them to ask where my phone is... they were all like...What phone? Then I complained on HelloPeter :D And even though I am not very fond of the sight, it does get results... for some reason
