Hi Everyone,

I have a colleague who has just upgraded her contract to the S4 from a Blackberry. She took the R399 Anytime 100 contract with 1GB of data just before the end of July.

Come 1 July the contract was loaded with 100 mins, 100 sms and 100MB of data instead of 1GB. I have just gone with her to a cell C store and they claim that the 100/100/100 will be loaded from 01 July but the full 1 GB will only be loaded when the new contract kicks in, in October.

To me then the whole call plan should only change in October, they can't give part of the new call plan now and the balance in October.

Perhaps the Cell C rep could comment?

Thx
Aharon

Same thing happened with me, sadly that's how it is.. she will have to wait for October to enjoy the 1gb data

Thanks -

Just makes no sense... has your contract period elapsed and have you actually seen your 1GB data?

When does the 24 months kick in?

From when new 100MB/Min/SMS is loaded or from when the 1GB is loaded?

Why the difference?

I got the upgrade in june but the 1gb data only kicked in July when the new contract period began

Ok, so u did eventually see your extra data? I would however think that possibly you got the data on the first of the month following your upgrade?

Same thing happened to me. After about an hour on the phone, I got an agent who explained why I wasn't getting My ¹gig yet. My contract term also runs until October.

Same happened to me. They did explain it to me at the store when I collected the phone. The extra 900mb only starts in the month after the original contract ends, and is only for 24 months of the new contract.

Oh, and yes, this month I did start getting the extra 900mb as they explained.

That actually sort of makes sense.

If they kept your old minutes etc, I would say it makes sense. But the fact that they convert you immediately to the new package makes me not understand.
