I did the botch job : https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?p=1083801#p1083801How is the battery still going I have a Nokia 3510i over here.
Isn't it something to do with the deprecation of network technology? 2G?
Funny you should bring up the reception - it is the exact reason I resurrected the first cellphone I saw in my life.An old phone like this is a dream come true. How is reception in general, when you have reception?
I'm using a dual sim S22 to escape business calls at the moment but I'd far prefer two physically separate devices. It's really been on my todo/dream list for ages

Where I stay, at the bottom of a valley, my Redmi Note 9T does not have signal when I am downstairs - have to go upstairs to make calls (SIM1 Vodacom) or get mobile data (SIM2 Rain). On the old 1610 I always have signal downstairs on all networks that have 2G. Voice calls are excellent on the phone.
Only downside is the the battery level does not work any more. Could be because it is 9V and the phone expects 6V, but even with a 6V battery pack (4xAA Duracells) it would have low battery all the time. I suspect an internal capacitor is failing.
All that said - what is network SA 07? Clearly it is a home network for Cell C.
Thanks! I was looking for that page - knew I saw it years before but could not find it. Should have done a search for MCC.cell c - 07 is their mobile network code
