Cell C Upgrade Query

I wonder if anyone here can help me out.

I am due to upgrade (renew) my contract at the end of next month. But I have ZERO interest in getting a new cellphone, the minimal amount I do use my phone, my current phone is more than sufficient.

Now I know that other operators offer the ability to take vouchers instead of a new phone. Does anyone know if you can get something similar from CellC And who to talk to?

Their sales department are freaking useless and cannot answer the question for me. They are unable to grasp the idea, that all I want is the contract and NOT the cellphone. I can literally hear the, but why no cell phone with fear and angst

If you are looking for the cheapest contract, then take a look at ValueChat http://www.cellc.co.za/content/contract/valuechat.asp

It's got great call rates, without any contract required. You can call into the call centre and change your contract to ValueChat at the end of its period.

Unfortunately, I know we don't have any options to sell contracts without phones maybe a store or a Cell C dealer can do that for you. I presume you are wanting a postpaid deal!

Quick answer would be, rather go to Game / Dion / Makro that will give you up to R4000 (dependant on upgraded package) in vouchers with a cheap handset...

Cell C outlets and Cell C Direct can only offer you up to R2000 as a cashback option...
