Cell-C USB Modem

Hi guyz,

1. Does anyone have a Cell-c modem that they want to get rid off ?

2. Does the Cell-c USB modem work with Virginmobile sim cards ?

Please contact me I need one when I go out to sites to do PC upgrades for drivers and settings.

I can confirm that the Cell C mobile USB modem does work with a Virgin Mobile SIM card. You will need to manually input the modem initialisation string as the Virgin Mobile APN is different to the Cell C APN.

my 2 cents: you can by a samba 75 at rfdesign for about R1500 excl. It also supports EDGE.

There was a massive ad on the Highway Mail today (Durban newspaper) for this thing! It looks fancy and all, but the rates are still nowhere near as cheap as Virgin! R2 / meg!

Only thing that bumms me out is that if people in my area start using EDGE, it may affect my speeds, cause Virgin piggys on CellC
