Hi all, just a stupid question, if Im on cell c, can I then also change the network to vodacom, like with vm? Im thinking of maybe porting to them, cause they have good contract prices. Or will I be a fool?

yes it works it seems... even the GPRS settings seem to work (I have voda, cellc and mtn on my phone)

i once phoned in to CellC customer service and they told me to select Vodacom manually when they had an issue.

I am not sure the % but vodacom owns a part of CellC

Not sure then why you dont get better mobile internet with CellC

In my humble opinion I should add that Cellc service general knowledge and ability to resolve urgent issues is shocking and in general 2.

At least when it comes to me - a guy that’s spends up to R1600 a month with CellC.

Most of the time for Wap or internet support you have to call in the day etc – and then its also a struggle.

Yeah It Works Like A Charm:D
I'm Using It Constantly.........
Cell C Is Roaming On The Vodacom Network Meaning You've Got Exactly The Same Coverage As The Vodacom Users......

You're Only Roaming On The Vodacom Network And Vodacom Does Not Have Any Interest In Cell C As Cell C Is Undercutting Vodacom Everywhere. And For The Ammount You Pay For You Contract Compared To The Phone You Get With Cell C Weighed Agaist The Other Two Networks I'd Say Cell C Has Come A Long Way.

Just be aware that if you roam on Vodacom with a Cell C phone you can't make use of the "free" weekend Cell C to Cell C calls. You will get "network busy" on your phone. Only if you switch back to the Cell C network will you be able to make these calls.
