I am severely disappointed with Vodacom's service

I switched from Cell C and it has been an absolute nightmare.

There must be millions of prepaid customers on their network, so why is our service deemed to be inferior?

I get these crappy data bundle reminder sms - which they haven't been able to fix for 2 months, and it doesn't happen to my partner (who's on contract, same phone, same data usage per month).

Whenever I try to make a call, I get told "you have reached your call limit" - and guess what, there's still way more than a R100 left on the sim...

OR it just fails completely and makes a failed connection tone without doing anything

BUT try and phone the "Customer service desk" where all you get is a robotic voice that has options that don't relate to your problem, and no "speak to a consultant" anywhere

sigh

hello dr phalange. May I suggest the following method of contacting and reporting your problem to customer care.

email them on [email protected]

In your email, be sure to stipulate the concerned prepaid number that is experiencing the problem, your contact and alternative contact number, detailed fault description (including the fact that the number was ported).

You will then receive a email back within a few mintus giving you a ref number. They will then revert back to you within 24 - 48 working hours.

Normally when you are within the IVR system, pressing 0 will patch you through to a operator, but you have to select one of the first options played back by the IVR before pressing 0 otherwise it will just repeat the same options again.
Kind Regards:

I was amazed a few months ago when I emailed Vodacom customer care how quickly they replied. It was a Saturday, the reply came within a few hours. I then replied to the email and they replied again within about 20 minutes.

;)

Emailing Customer care is my main method of logging network faults and coverage issues to have it logged on the system. I find it easier and it also provides a way for you to give Vodacom as much detailed info for them to log the call.
