is the anti virus for cell phones really needed? which one is trustworthy? do net work operators have a downloads for them?
 
No, it's not really necessary. Just don't open any suspicious files and keep Bluetooth switched off when you're not using it.
 
No. Barely. Nokia's 'need' it most, because of it's platform. But rarely one get's a virus(es). They're not severe as well. Usually the worst is said to like delete all your on-phone contacts. That is likely to happen if you've hacked your Nokia as well. Which is another long, tedious proccess.
 
Yes, the cellphone/smartphone ecosystem is very different to the PC platform. 95%+ of PC's are running Windows on x86. This is a single monolithic target for virus writers. With cellphones the market is highly fragmented in terms of software and hardware platforms - making writing a virus very difficult and transmission of a virus nearly impossible.
