The laptop is NEVER for free. A cheap cellphone for R50.00 pm will be R300.00 pm with a laptop. So you are paying for that laptop.

Those laptops are generally damn expensive.

HP 550 + Huawei K3520 USB Modem + 500MB - R578/month x 24 = R13872
Huawei K3520 USB Modem + 500MB - R249 x 24 = R5976

Vodacom is basically asking you R7896 for the laptop -> R329 x 24 for the laptop

Webantics has it for R5400 -> that's rougly R225/month over 24 months.

At 20% interest you'd only pay R274/month over 24 months, Vodacom is effectively charging you 40% interest on a R5400 Laptop.
