Cell phone without keyboard function!

Hi everyone!

Suddenly, my cell phone is unable to show its keyboard, making it completely impossible for me to send text messages, or even enter names in my contacts search function.

This malfunction was preceeded by the keyboard letters freezing on me at times. When I typed, the required letter would freeze just above the keyboard and then I would have to wait several moments before I could continue typing.

Is there any redress for this? It is a smart phone with an Android OS. Or is it time to buy a new phone? Any suggestions for a R3 000 or less phone for average use? I'm not into games or gimmicks.

Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Try downloading another keyboard if you can or reset your phone.

Try reset the phone, if that doesnt fix the problem, then get a new phone.

Try a factory reset as suggested.

But back up your data first!
