Cell Signal Boosters

I have quite a large area, about the size of two rugby fields that the Vodacom signal is terrible. I am wondering if the poor signal can be boosted with some of these basic commercial products and if they actually work.
This is in the Helderberg Estate/Spanish Farm area of Somerset West.
