I have been offered the opportunity of hosting a cell tower. What is a reasonable rental for durban?

Depends if they pay a flat fee which includes electricity or whether there is a way to bill their usage separately.

I seem to recall a thread a long time ago where someone was earning R10-R30k a month. But I might be wrong.

Also, keep some previous articles in mind regarding one person who had to switch off the tower to get the network to settle unpaid arrears.

A person in my neighborhood, (Durban) hosts a Telkom tower on their property and currently receives 21k a month.

Thing is they're selling up now and are asking for nearly double market value because of the tower income the new owner will be getting

I wonder if it's completely based on location. I have been offered 6k for queensburgh that seems low given what you have indicated?

Got an offer of R5k/m and free internet in Centurion. Not worth it at that rate for something that unsightly.

Hi. Yes, I would say so. Not sure what distance matters, but at least in a 180 degree radius for around 3km it is quite densely populated.
