Good evening guys! I work in Cape Town during the week, and at weekends I'm at home. I bought the new 4G cellc card for use in Cape Town. I fired up my mifi unit with the CellC card in it today, and I'm getting great speeds. Look at the results! I'm in Centurion rooihuiskraal area. I would normally get GPRS at best where I'm now over CellC! Jippee!

Damn you and your semi good news :)

I am in Midrand, so close you can smell it but not taste it...

Here's hoping.

You can taste it too only difference is you need to ask somebody from capetiwn or durban to buy it for you.
Its working perfectly in midrand as well.

I tried it yesterday midway between Midrand proper and Kyalami, using a cellphone.

(A little bit north towards the road coming from Olifantsfontein)

The cellphone showed 3G, but I could not get any data, so reception is not great in that area - but it is very rural !

But a big demand in that area, because Telkom has given up on fixed lines due to copper theft.

Are you trying with a cell c's 3.5G sim or with a standard sim?

That was with a 3.5G Data Bundle SIM.

I don't live there, I have perfect reception where I live near Wanderers.

I was just testing it out for the folks that live out there (horsey people) - they are using iBurst at the moment.

But I should have tested it in a dongle with my notebook, would have given me a better indication.

May be they will get coverage by launch date.
