What happened to the option CellC had where you could opt out of receiving spam mail or SMS?
I registered for this a few years ago, and again earlier this year.
The function seems to have been removed from their website.

I received a SMS from DirectAxis on my CellC number, with no option of opting out, or replying with Stop.

Are CellC allowing unsolicited direct marketing spam messages to their customers?

That's a scam sms not spam :p

Jip, scam and not spam, directaxis would use their own domain, not consultant.com, and not a cellphone number as contact number. You are barking up the wrong tree.

This is just a variation on the Wongo sms scam.

And its a SMS, not an e-mail, MyBB Fact Police does not approve of your thread title

The statement is still true though, I added cellc to my spam phrases because they dont care if you opt out every single time they still keep spamming you.

Whether it is a SMS or mail, CellC are still allowing it, even after opting out.

Besides spam as covered in that link pezulu, read my post better. The only way to stop this SCAM is for them or yourself to disable SMSs totally on your system because anyone can send you a scam SMS. This is the same as you've won FIFA this and RICA that and OMO and Coca Cola blah blah. This was not send by Cell C or even DirectAxis, this was sent by a criminal wanting to steal money, do you think criminals will give your a opt out?
