CellC data sim promotion

The 2GB promotion sounds interesting and quite cheap (2GB/pm @ R999 over 12 months). Has anyone tried it and how is connectivity.

I noticed that CellC does not offer micro-sims, so has anyone tried to cut the SIM to be used in an iPad and was it easy enough?

Just read the forum, many people (including myself) are using the 2GB bundle, and it really works well.

However, the present iPad doesn't support 900MHz UMTS, so the Cell C HSPA+ won't work, it will only work with Edge and will be very slow.

People have cut the SIM, don't think that it is a major issue - I believe that it works in an iPhone 4.

But you can ask them to load the data bundle onto a micro-sim (64K) at a cell c shop. But you will ahve to accept that you won't get HSPA access but only EDGE or 3G depending on the device.
