cellc internet not working

the whole day today (17-03-11) I've been getting disconnected from cellc's internet I connect via GPRS disconnects me after about 350kb and HSPA after 3mb. Here in montana, NNE PTA. 3bars HSPA. does anyone know what the ****s going on?

Please give more information eg. modem make, rssi value, location, operating system etc...
All these things will help us and cellc find your problem much easier or faster
 
its the 2gig white cellc modem. pretoria wonderboom airport to be exact. its been working fine but last 24hours its not. I've tested with vodacom sim in the modem it works perfect I put the cellc sim into my phone does the same as in the PC. its not my hardware or software, thinking its souly related to cellc's network
 
buddy of mine in the montana also had crap connection yesterday
 
okay iv just tested it with a htc topaz 10mb/s and the Cellc sim is working, with full signal (on vodacom's internet settings)and getting 1044kb/s(highest eva) on Speedtest.net but with the white cellc modem i get ****. so WTF i wasted my money buy the modem+data bundle, should have just got the sim+data.
 
anyone know how to get more signal out of the 2gig Cellc modem? using longer cable is just disconnecting the thing, and using two usb ports is making no dif in signal.

: took a 3m usb cable cut it, joined another usb male(red n black wires only,for power) .3m total- used it but gets "disconnected by remote-devise"
: then took usb extension cable made it +3.5m total. NOW WORKS.
stuck it in the corner of my room- getting best signal.

hope this helps if soneone else is having the same problems.
 
Innovative, remember to always use the back usb ports on pc as well.
I have usb ext cable with 2 usb connectors from my e220, plug both of them in for that extra power ;)
 
I have the same problem.

Although I don't see how this is power related. Tried the front and back USB ports and the results are the same. As well as on another PC.

I also live in the same area and took the device (E1820) to the shop in Kollanade where it works fine.

The thing is, from Dec to mid Feb the internet was working like it was getting paid, since mid Feb to now the speed is ridiculous, constant disconnect etc etc. My vodacom dongle is faster.
 
@the_zombielord ..use the old CellC dushboard,has manual settings between GSM and HSPA,if you dont have it already. just do what i did.. 2 male usb to 1 female usb, cable about 3.5m long.
[ADDED] it will disconnect the devise its normal just keep clicking "Connect" till Windows USB notification popup shows "this devise can perform faster" then itll stay connected. (dont know if its win or my motherboard that changes the power output of the usb) for best signal place the modem in the top corner of a northern facing wall. i use2 get 3 bars UMTS if lucky. now 5bars HSPA+
