Hear on the radio that CellC is running the laptop special again. Does anyone know the particulars?

caught the end of the ad.....was definatly a sahara

how can cellC possibly be so backward that they do not have a webpage showing their specials?

Hmmm, well mtn have their own laptop special through italk and its a hell of alot better than sahara (bought a desktop from them b4... lasted two years then ended up betaing it with a pole because it burnt out COMPLETELY) plus with the italk one you get a phone and a data card. :D

Must say guys, I was in the market a year ago for a new phone and being a current CellC client, (and happy), I decided to make use of a phone + laptop special at the time. I got a V3 and a Dell Inspirion 1300 and although it might not be the top of the range, I am more than happy with it.

As for the service. Made use of the GlenVillage branch in PTA and had excellent service.

cool. now if only I could find info on that special online...

The laptop deal can be seen at www.mobileconnect.za.net. It's a Proline laptop. Total cost R290pmX24 with 2 Phones and total of 200 off peak minutes free per month. Email [email protected] or call 0312083302/20 or 0846278664. Free sim cards, Free renewals and free delivery anywhere in South Africa!!!

That website makes my eyes bleed!

It's a Celeron M for anyone who's interested, with a 40GB HDD and a CD/DVD combo drive and 512RAM(sic).

I think I'll pass.

It's not a bad deal for an entry level Proline laptop if you think about it R290 x 24, when you consider it does come with 2 phones as well and each contract has 100 off peak minutes as well. Customer does score here.

I guess so. The phones are very basic and that lappie cannot be worth more than R4000 new.

I would never go for a cell c notebook deal... 24 months of cellular hell just can't justify it for me...

The newest Cell C Laptop Special offers the Aspire Netbook.
Has Anyone tried the new contract? If so, is it worth it?
