CellC New Pricelist 2015

I'm on Straight Up 800, I see the price increases from R 800 to R 880. Will I be paying more even though I signed at R 800 PM? I'm actually paying somewhere around R 1,000 PM including the phone, will I be paying R 80 more each month? Even if I am, it's still the best deal for me :o

Yeah they don't clearly say whether or not current contracts will see a increase or not. I'm sure it will only happen if you choose to renew or if you are on a month to month contracts.

Guess you haven't seen the AUP:
The Completely Unlimited Data benefit is only applicable for Telkom Mobile’s data network and is governed by a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 10GB per month. The speed shall be throttled to 128kbps if a subscriber reaches a data usage soft cap of 10GB before the end of the month. The speed shall be reset to normal speed at the beginning of each calendar month alternatively subscribers can purchase once off or recurring data bundles.
And for that you get the privilege of paying 9.3 times more than with Cell C. :D

I know of the AUP. That's just data though.

Out of all the networks that offer unlimited calling deals, Telkom mobile is the cheapest with the most data.

Your first statement mentioned Telkom "top end deal". I wouldn't consider data only a "top end deal".

Data is usually the top end deal. Voice and SMS isn't that valuable as few people spend that much time on the phone. Have you actually read the AUP? It's not just data. Calls and SMS are only for private and person to person use. That would already exclude business use which is the largest market for unlimited calling. Most people are either not using it to its full potential and could go for a cheaper plan or are likely in breach of the AUP.

R150/month for 16.6GB is still the top end deal attracting more customers than TM's "unlimited."

PS: Good data deals have always attracted more people than voice and SMS because data is more useful and valuable.

Sneaky basterds releasing this during the holidays so no one notices... OOB is good but all the rest not great, supacharge timeframes make it practically useless. Gonna load up on the xMB per month deals or data will cost me a lot more as I only used the supacharge megs.
I can't see that supacharge has changed much at all?
