CellC Prepaid data on iPad - cannot surf Internet whilst roaming Vodacom?

I have prepaid CellC sim and data on my iPad, but cannot browse internet while roaming on Vodacom.
Currently near Pilgrim's Rest.
Wife's mobile on Vodacom sim has superb data connection and speeds.

Can anybody tell if this is a setting I am missing somewhere?

You cannot use cellc data on vodacom. They use different infrastructure, because your wife has good coverage does not mean you have good coverage or vice versa. If you want to roam on vodacom there should be a setting under settings>cellular data but beware the extra charges.

Not true. Cell-C have a roaming agreement with Vodacom. Cell-C subscribers are not charged extra for roaming on Vodacom.

I think that the roaming Cell C -> Vodacom is restricted to 2G, have never seen it on 3G.

And even then it seems to have a low priority, Cell C 2G on Vodacom will always be a lot slower than pure Vodacom 2G.

Thanks, checked up on that, will use it when I have no signal. At OP, rest of post still applies, within settings app > cellular data.

I'm with Jola on this one. I'm pretty sure it is 2G only. With a Cell-C SIM you can't even register on the Vodacom 3G network (at least, everywhere I have tried it).

What's the procedure of roaming on mtn network whilst using 8.ta prepaid sim and how's it that vodacom roams on cellc, what's the procedure on doing this. I want to be able to roam on mtn using mdma while it's 8.ta prepaid sim. How to go about doing this?
