CellC sim in Vodafone B970?

Will the above work? Do I need to change the settings? I want to get myself a CellC data contract as my Vodacom ends in June, but I want to make sure that I dont miss the promo. I also want to stick to my B970 router as it is great to use. Anyone did this?

Tried it.
B970 does not support the UTMS 900 frequency so you will only get Edge speeds.
The B970b on the other hand does support the correct frequency.

Is it a hardware limitation or can the firmware be upgraded to allow UMTS 900?

Please visit gsmarena website - click on the Vodafone - and check the specifications on the same. A firmware upgraded wouldn't solve this.
