CellC Uncapped - will this be possible?

well, that would make the other 2 bullies VERY uncomfortable if Cell C did that!

I had a Virgin sim just because they charged 1/4 Vodacom's data price /mb

I'll use this, sure thing there are more people who will too!

I can confirm the Following

I can confirm the Following.....................

1. Cell-C will be using the following Vendors for their HSDPA Network

a ) DFA
b ) SEACOM
c ) Broadband Infraco
d ) Telkom
e ) Neotel

for most of their Fibre Needs.

They are also trying to Get Fibre Laid from their BTS to the Nearest POP of one of the above Vendors.

If the Roll-out is Quick.

and

The Prices greatly reduced

We could be in for a bumper 2010.

However the ONLY company Holding the Trump Cards is Telkom.

They could really Turn MTN & Vodacom Upside Down if they wanted.

Well Rueben & The TEAM are playing a go Slow Game.

Telkom has a very Robust and Comprehensive network covering South Africa.

Yet they are showing the worst Profits.

Companies that use their Infrastructure are showing better returns than them.

I am a bit confused. Please can you explain your statement above? According to their website, it is R0.60 per Meg. If you compare the Vodacom data bundles, Vodacom works out a lot cheaper or am I missing something?

Vodacom is 19 per meg if u get th 389 package(i buy every 3 months), Virgin is always R0.60. Vodo is also 20x (7680 vs. 384) faster than CellC *111# to buy bundles

if you are not looking (somehow) to use 2 GB every 3 months, and would mind the speed then go Virgin.

Why oh why has no body launched uncapped data yet

Out of bundle vodacom is R2 a MB but on Virgin its only R0.60 a MB :) Much cheaper don't you think?

You would think that someone who is with a provider specifically for their data costs would use more than 250MB every two months...

For less than that it is cheaper though.

I'd wager if any provider released an uncapped package it would be 'on device only' and still be pretty expensive, kind of like the american unlimited data plans. I'm sure people would find ways to exploit it though, bit torrent client for android anyone?
