Cellphone banking on vodacom

I was speaking to someone today and he was moaning about cellphone banking with nedbank. He was not happy with the monthly charge(nedbank) and the fees that vodacom charge him to do a transaction. He said a transaction costs him a few rand. I told him to move banks to FNB as I dont pay any monthly fees. I`m on CellC though. I was a bit sceptical that the fee charged by VC was so much, so I logged into FNB internet banking and changed my cellphone details to my vodacom simcard to check it out. Dialed the fnb number and requested a statement. Checked my Vodacom balance and had been charged R1.20. Surely thats a bit excessive!! Changed my details back to CellC, sent for a statement again and checked my balance which dident change at all. So CellC charges nothing. Does anyone know how the vodacom billing works. Does it charge the price of an sms everytime you enter the number of the transaction you want to do?

*120*321*362# did you use that number on vodacom?That takes you to the fnb wap page,I think they take about 20c.*130*321# thats fro free on vc but its for basic use eg:airtime

Just checked it now!Its 20c if you use the 1st number in my post above.If you use *120*321# you pay per text
