JUst wondering what can people actually check up on your cellphone. There are plenty products that supposedly allow you to check/trace others phones without actually loading a program onto their phone.
Is this possible.

If so, What counter measures are available to prevent this

A friend of mine has a blackberry and somehow he managed to 'spy' on his wife's gps on her blackberry and could see wherever she went without her knowing.

Dunno how he did it though.

Actually kind of sick if you ask me.

If you google, you find many programs for sale that "allow" you to spy on others phones, just wondering if possible.

lskj > There is certainly no shortage of cellphone monitoring software on the market. I would caution against any software (especially the bluetooth-based "wonder-products") which claim that they are able to monitor calls, sms etc - without requiring access to the target phone. Although it is possible to remotely deploy monitoring software to a target phone (using various OTA technologies) this is by no stretch of the imagination a perfect science, and the success rate of remote deployment is relatively poor (quite high for certain mobile platforms, but dismal for most).
