Cellphone under contract not being repaired

Hey guys,

I have a phone with MTN that keeps switching off because the battery compartment is faulty. I've taken it back to MTN thrice now and they recently gave it back to me saying there was nothing wrong with it. Not only does the phone still switch off but it seems my reception has gotten worse as well.

Is there anything I can do to insist they replace the phone?

If you can take it directly to the manufacturer, it still fall under there warranty and they will fix it better.
I try and avoid dealing with the ISP when it comes to repairs.

Are you booking it in at MTN Service center or a store?

Did you send the battery in as well? It could be an issue with the battery itself.

Try to call customer service or try to get hold of the service manager itself.
