Dropped off my iPhone at Cellucity to have some work done on it and the first question they asked me was 'what's the unlock code'
Honestly. They need to train their staff.
Reset for a battery replacement?Replacement iOS battery.
Really makes no diffs tho. As @DrJohnZoidberg said, they should be trained to tell clients to back up and reset.
Exactly my point, why do they need to access it for a battery replacement?Reset is recommended for any situation where you hand your phone to a third party. Besides, PIN and OS required for battery replacement?

Shouldn't the customer be backing up, resetting, and removing all passwords before handing the phone over? That would negate the staff having to ask at all.
Ha ha, to me, switching pins and remembering the new one (after sharing the old one) would be more effort than a wipe and restore.Too much effort. I give them my pin (or rather unlock when necessary) but sit around while they do the job to make sure they don’t snoop on my ****.
Those are all synced with Apple Keychain.I would rather buy a new phone than ever share my phone's password with anyone. Reseting or wiping is not to be taken lightly, it's huge ballache to get all your banking apps reregistered, 2FA for other apps, etc.
