Since I have poor reception in my house, I thought about getting one of those cellular signal boosters and install its antenna in or on my roof.
I was recommended something like this, for example: https://www.bobshop.co.za/4g-mobile-phone-signal-booster/p/681747364

Questions:
1) Does it contain a SIM card?
2) If not, I assume my mobile phones would connect to its inside antenna. How would they know to "lock" onto that signal, even when moving around in the house, and not switch back to the cellular mast?
3) How good do these devices work?
4) Would it make sense to install its antenna for the cell mast up in the roof, then with cable down to the amplifier mounted on a wall, and then from the amplifier to the inside antennae? Is that a typical practical setup? Any tips or hints on antenna placement? I would just assume as high as possible?
5) Where or how can I find out if it is ICASA approved?
6) Where can I find out how much it amplifies, automatic gain control or oscillation protection?
7) The above example mentions up to 10 users can connect... does that mean 10 users on the same MCO, or 10 with all mixed MCOs?
8) Any advice on the specific model / recommendations for others (bove model linked is just an example) / difference between other or better types... manufacturer.. and then of course where best to buy it from i.e. which shop or online shop.

Apologies for all the questions and many thanks in advance.

I have no clue about the one you linked but I rather go with this https://www.takealot.com/all?filter=Brand:WilsonPro

1. No sim.
2. Signal inside would be the same as the mast just stronger so it would be on it
3. If install correctly they work like a charm
4. Do you have line of sight of the mast? You will have to point it to it.

That is why I asked whether multiple users (cellphones) connected to such a device would be able to do so on multiple networks. If so, pointing the booster's antenna to one tower won't have much point if there are multiple towers each with specific networks. In that case, an omnidirectional antenna would be better, right?
