Hey all

So I have a Centurion D5 Motor.

Leave this afternoon forgot something get back open gate and I note the gate beeps...

Get home again later take dogs for a walk still beeping... Try open gate gate doesnt open.

Walk dogs 30 min later get home and open gate. Still beeping. Open and see status light flashing 2 times a second and the little plug symbol is flashing.

The house is powered by solar and no switches are down its def connected to the mains. But the troubleshooting guide says its not connected...

Any ideas?

Is it possible that the battery just needs to be replaced?

Most likely the battery. Even though mains is supplied, the gate runs off the battery.

Yup , new battery is in but it's not charging. Plug symbol on the display is flashing.
Flashing plug means no mains is detected. So either, you have no power going to the system (did you test the mains cables coming in?) or, as above, your power supply is gone.

Tested the main supply in , reading 220v .. tested battery charger cable reading 0v...so safe to assume PSU is gone ?

I would say thats a safe asumption. I assumed you checked the main fuse too?

Fuse looks intact.

Out of curiosity, any idea what's the cause of the PSU to be blown?
I've never had it, but i imagine either old age/chance, a surge or lightning would be the most common. On my gate the only thing i get is every 6-12 months it randomly forgets its settings and goes into limp. I have to go into the Wizard and get it to re-scan for the ends stops again and learn the gate's lengths etc. Then its fine...

Mains feed into the battery, I would put the gate into manual mode.
Pull the battery and take it to a centre to have them tested.
