Millions of tyres went up in flames just outside Centurion in Mooiplaas. I got so close it felt like the hair on my legs were getting scorched off!

P.S excuse the swearing, it was pretty intense in the moment! The embers from those tornadoes were falling on us XD For scale, look how tall the people are against the flames.

JOHANNESBURG – Tshwane emergency services are trying to extinguish thousands of tyres on fire opposite Zwartkops raceway in Centurion.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and no injuries have been reported.

Emergency services say the fire is not posing any threat to the buildings as the tyres are in an open field.
