Chaintech Graphics Cards

Hi guys

I'm looking at buying a new graphics card. a gtx 260. Are chaintech graphics good at all and if anyone has one is it a dual slot cooler and are their cards the 216 Shadder Processor version? I can get this card for R1599 or would it be better for me to get the xfx 260 for R1900? or does any one have a cheaper place around JHB?

If it's a reference design card then it's just as good as the XFX one. Only difference would be warranty and what comes bundled with the card
 
Why oh why would you want a 260 when the 5770 is going for around the same price?
 
98% of graphic cards are reference just with a different companies sticker on them. I had a 9600GT Chaintech, nothing wrong at all.
 
Reference design = stock clocks, "UBER LEET SUPERCLOCKED PAY 150% PRICE CARD" = reference card + different cooler (can buy) + overclocked in bios (can edit or use rivatuner)...
 
IM ALSO PLANNING ON GETTING THE GTX 260 CHAINTECH AT SOME PLACE IN JHB FOR R1600 BUT THE 200 SERIES HASNT YET GOT DX11 SO IM RATHER WAITING FOR THE 300 SERIES. IS IT WORTH THE WAIT OR SHOULD I GO FOR AN ATI DX11 CARD???
 
YOU SHOULD GET A DX11 CARD BECAUSE IT HELPS COMPUTE CAPS LOCK QUICKER!
