HJ, Carrick isn't that bad. Fletcher and Richardson is just junk. Carrick actually makes some important plays when it's needed and he has more vision than Fletcher. Carrick still has lots to learn and needs to be way more aggressive and be in the game more. He's passing is also quite effective rather than 'fletcher gets the ball and passes square to Rio' for example. We should pay some team a million pounds to take Fletcher. I hope we make some good midfield signings at the end of the season.
Rooney must stop playing like a midfielder if he wants to score. He tried to play everywhere and sometimes he isn't there to catch on to Ronnie's passes.
Sure, I agree that Carrick is the best of the three, but that is not saying much! For me , he is almost always our worst player. I have never seen him play well enough to justify his huge price tag, or even play well really.
Fletcher and Richardson sometimes I feel almost sorry for. They are clearly out of their depth. At another team perhaps in a lower league, they would be able to shine. But in the premier league they will never be good enough. I mean, it's not as if they don't try hard, it's just that they don't have what it takes.
Rooney suffers from the fact that when those three are on, there is no midfielf except Ronaldo. So he has to sit deep in search of the ball. For me this is still the team to go with:
Vd Sar (barring his last two efforts which were extremely poor)
O'shea (for me very solid and can be pushed into midfield if necessary)
Rio ( still way too laid back but we don't have much else to go with)
Heinze (matured into a great defender for my money. Always gives 100%)
Brown( Seems decent so far this season. Nothing spectacular)
Giggs ( must start. Always)
Ronaldo (same)
Scholes (been a bit off with the tackles but still a great midfielder)
Carrick ( for want of anyone better..)
Rooney (up front)
Solskjaer/Dong (also playing as real strikers)
Good team for my money, considering all the injuries we have to deal with.
