Change Icon in Taskbar

How do you change the icon of a program running in your taskbar?
 
AFAIK, you can only do this is the app which actually puts the icon there supports changing it.
 
You can try and open the app. with a resource editor, locate the icon and replace it with the one you want... don't know how legal this is though ;)
