I am trying to change the Huawei E3131 from HiLink mode to Modem so that it can be recognised by my Windows 7 machine. I came across this link http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/507680-Huawei-HiLink-modems-(E303-E3131-etc-)/page2 and I followed the instructions and made some progress but I came stuck at the point where I am supposed to use Terminal to send some AT commands to the dongle.
1yqV5Jh
1yqUXJM
and this shows my Device Manager
1yqUoja
The Hardware Ids
1yqUKWY

I did send the AT Commands but Terminal is not responding the way I expected , it is not giving me an OK or some reply as shown in the first link . It just repeats the line I copied into the receiving window (The grayed out section at the bottom)
After trying the modem is still not connecting to the internet. is There any step I am leaving behind please help
I am having a tough time displaying my graphics but the link is https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=C03E0AD4630C853C&id=C03E0AD4630C853C%21105

How is it not being recognised by your machine? Are you sure there is nothing else wrong with it, i have a Hilink and it just works fine on win 7 and 8 and i absolutely dig the auto-connect feature

The dongle works absolutely fine on my machine but I am trying to convert the dongle to a modem using the steps I showed in the first link. Hopefully this will cause the PC to see the dongle as a modem and not just as a Remote NDIS Sharing Device .This will then allow me to develop software in VB.Net to send SMS Text messages from a local computer using the dongle.
