Changing ISP

i am thinking of changing to openwebs 4mb uncapped adsl for R249. Any advice on it. has anyone tried it ? And any other isp with similar packages?

Unless you're taking their home premium/business uncapped or capped stay away from openweb.

What ISP would you recommend for 4mb Package. Right now i am on mweb 2mb uncapped adsl. paying around 450 with line rental with telkom. I really need a good affordable package with 4mb line. I wasnt even getting a 100kbps download with mweb and i got shaped. I barely downloaded because of such slow speeds.

Are you on standard or premium?

If you want to download you should be on premium.

Right now i am on standard. I want to upgrade to 4mb package but having trouble since there are so many ISPs with different offers. I see Crystal Web and Unshaped and unthrottled internet but it isnt in my budget. and plus i am not paying for the subscription. I can only do standard packages for now. Most other ISPs try get you to download everything at midnight. That is one thing that's actually nice with MWEb.

Unless you pay extra for business.

Since you already on MWEB you should try premium. With 2Meg you can download triple the amount before you start to feel anything.

Is 70gb download a month considered heavy downloading and will an ISP shape you for downloading this much? i've seen users on the forum that clear about 500gb in a month and i clearly dont have that kind of space for storage. I'd say i probably at max would clear about 90 gigs incl. Youtube and streaming. Should i still consider uncapped then?

Uncapped is nice for piece of mind.

On standard 2meg you get throttled at 70GB, on premium 2meg 200GB.

On 4 meg the difference is just as big:
Standard 110GB
Premium 400GB.

So if you're gonna download 90GB, either go to 4meg standard or 2Meg premium.
