Changing Registration Details

Hi,

Google and eNatis's website can't seem to help me, so I'm hoping someone here can.

My car is registered in Cape Town, but I have moved to Pretoria. Where do I go to change my registered address details for the car, so that I can then apply for renewals of my license etc etc here, rather than having to ask someone to do it for me in Cape Town?

Just to add to this: When my brother tried to request a reprint of my car reg docs in Cape Town, he was told they could not do that, coz I now live in Pretoria. They did say that I could just go to any post office here in Pretoria to change the registered address.. just want to confirm if this is true.. and what should I take along (SAPO's website is completely devoid of anything helpful in this regard)

They can do a reprint elsewhere but it's a mission and takes a few weeks. They first have to transfer your file back to Cape Town, and then apply for the reprint, and then it'll go back to Pretoria. Although from what you've said, your file is probably still in Cape Town anyway.

yes.. it is there.. coz I normally have to do my car license renewals in Cape Town. What I need to know is how do I get the car registration moved to Pretoria?

I just did the inverse in Somerset West.
Had to renew my car license. So I completed section's C&D of the form (own details and cars details). Own details have my new address.
Keep in mind I did not have a renewal notice with me.
Got the license renewed, my address changed and new number plates on the same day.

You should be able to renew your car license at the PostOffice.
