Would someone please help!

I need to change my routers IP and the DHCP range to be within the 192.168.10.x range but no matter what I try, it will not change.

My setup:
Telkom Mega 105
Current IP 10.0.0.2
Current DHCP Range 10.0.0.3 to 10.0.0.254

I have tried changing the IP when logged into the router but when I click on "apply" the page just keeps loading until I eventually switch the router off. The IP is still 10.0.0.2

I have tried changing the DHCP range without changing the IP but when I click on "apply" the router simply resets to the original range.

I have tried changing the IP and DHCP at the same time but when I click on "apply" I get the same result as simply trying to change the IP.

Contacted Telkom support (1h:50m:23s on hold!) and they offered the following. Edit your network connection TCP IP settings with the following:
Use the following IP: one that is within your desired range
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 10.0.0.2

Then they tell me to try and log in to the router but the log in page just keeps loading until I get a connection interupted (firefox) message. They put me through to a specialist who says, "Please contact your IT department." *click* (phone down)... beep, beep, beep.

I would appreciate any help that would steer me in the right direction.

this is kinda odd...

i have a few suggestions..sorry if some seem very obvious!

try hard resetting the router, try checking if there is a firmware update for it?
sometimes u need to save settings before applying, try another browser?

Thank you for the prompt responses.

try hard resetting the router
No change in results.

try checking if there is a firmware update for it?
Updated but still no difference.

sometimes u need to save settings before applying
Thought that this may be it as it is generally always something obvious. Was just about to whip out the kilt and swords to perform Alistair McAlden's version of the Southern Highland Scottish Sword Dance but then... it didn't work.

try another browser?
Both IE and Firefox give the same results.

I hope that its not the router thats buggered because I am not looking forward to stopping by the local Telkom shop. Tried to find a F100 ADSL filter recently and the search took me to 6 telkom shops from Randburg to Boksburg and finally Pretoria!

Can anyone offer any other advice before I take the plunge?

sorry man, i think its time u return to sender....
AFAIK there is no way around that GUI, so ur stuck....

I had the same prob

*change router ip and DHCP click apply
*close ur browser (dont wait for to finish loading jus close)
*change ur systems ip range to the same as the routers
*log onto the router again click save setting and bang!

thats how i got mine up and running
kinda makes sense since u cant acces the router if the router and ur system don't share the same ip range, thats why the page doesn't load when u click apply or that what i think
