A friend of mine bought a Windows 10 tablet for his wife while in Italy (work related).

They opened it only when he got home for the first time and when they powered it on the bloody thing was in Italian.

So I've been googling how to do it, but the *#&$^% menus and options on the tablet are all in Italian so its one hell of a mission to first go to google translate to get an idea of what it means.

Anybody know of some easier way to get it to default to English?

Is there a hardware way to reset it to factory settings? If you can, the first boot thereafter may give you the set-up screens that let you pick language, time zone etc.

I'll see when I get home. I already told him its too much of a mission and he told me he'll just resell it as its useless to them now :D

Settings (impostazioni) (cog icon) > Time & Language (small clock top left, A bottom left) > Second option (A and that other symbol on the right) > Select region from the drop-down. There's also an add language option.

I have this option on Windows 10 Home Single Language, but it's a laptop.

OK, I must admit I had a few beers in my tank when I fiddled with it, he left it at my house so I'll try your suggestion as soon as I get home and before I start filling my tank because its my daughter's birthday today :)

Io darò loro la vostra offerta stronzo

I'd start my own espresso company quickly at R1k/each and just outsource. :p

You need to use settings, not control panel with this method. You could try and use the search function in control panel, just type region. :p
