The table below shows the daily and weekly samples, as well as the daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual Cume Reach
figures for all channels measured on TAMS. Cume Reach refers to the total audience for a specific period without any duplication of
individuals.
This information allows for comparison across channels, allows the tracking of how audiences build over time and provides data for
channels that do not meet the minimum requirements to be released on the TAMS database. To be released on the TAMS
database, channels need to have a minimum of 60 respondents logging-in to view the channel for three consecutive weeks.
Looking at the Scorecard, one will see that the spreadsheets have been sorted on either the “Weekly sample” or “Channel name”
column. It is a rank order of weekly or a channel name samples which make it easy to find a specific channel and establish its
sample for that week. Each "Scorecard" measures first week of the month in Question, and the daily estimate is Wednesday of the
first week
The first table is the National Universe -Individuals 4+ sorted on “Weekly sample" and the second table has the same information
sorted on "Channel name”.
The third table is the National Universe - All Adults sorted on “Weekly sample" and the fourth table has the same information sorted
on "Channel name”.
The fifth table is the Satellite Universe - Individuals 4+ sorted on “Weekly sample" and the sixth table has the same information
sorted on "Channel name”.
The seventh table is the Satellite Universe - All Adults sorted on “Weekly sample" and the eighth table has the same information
sorted on "Channel name”

Note this is weekly.

This thread should be stickied and Jes should update it weekly

Cume reach has nothing to do with actual ratings or programme viewership - this is available on the SAARF website though. Hence the above list is not an indication of the most watched or highest rated channels - it's easy to tell because SABC 1 will always be No.1 on that list. Cume Reach (as I understand it) is a technical measurement to verify the accuracy of samples (and rather shows access to channels than who's really watching for any length of time). If you want accurate viewership stats then look here: http://saarf.co.za/tams-weeklyupdate/2013/

If you want to know which channels are the highest rated/most watched then you would have to be a paid up member of SAARF, though they probably list the annual stats somewhere on the site (since the site was reorganised I have no idea where to look).
