my sister has an explora and a hd pvr 2p. they are using a communal lnb in dish in the complex where we are staying. its not using a standalone dish. the owners made her take her own private dish of and connect to the communal dish. she had to pay for the installation and new lnb that is used on the communal dish something in the order of R1850. the channels werent working correctly on both decoders then and she received a list of new codes from dstv that had to be entered. apparently an upgrade became available and then once it was upgraded it worked ok. i dont know if the hd pvr 2p also had to have its codes changed or had to receive an upgrade.
now all is well
the problem is that the hd pvr 2p if you switch it to audio chanels it refuses to go back to the tv channels. it just stayes there . so i did power on off to reboot and a lot of the channels are not working anymore
some are working but not all.
like it was before the new upgrade was done on the explora . the explora still works ok.
so before the power on off (by removing the power jack at the back and plugging it in again) all the channels were working.
so my question is.
1.) why does the decoder not want going to viewing tv channels after you swith it to the audio channels ?
2.) what could you possibly do to get the channel to work again ?
is there an upgrade that must be done on the hd pvr p2 or codes that needs to be entered or settings needs to be changed everytime it is removed from mains power and reconnected?
