I`m addicted to chappies.... I usually go through 5-10 per day.usually between 17:00 and 23:00
Watermelon,Cherry,spearmint,grape,yellow OMOMNOM

Is there any adverse effect to consuming so many? thats about 25-50g I think(1 chappie is 2.5g)
Laxitive?Diabetes?blocked intestines?
Note I always spit them out after chewing.

I think its a form of conditioning.... that or It prevents me from snacking on junk food

They are basically sugar so yes the same negative effects of consuming sugar. How much sugar is in each one I'm unsure.

If it contains sorbitol it might have a laxative effect. But I have no idea how much you will have to consume.

Yeah I dont swallow.... or spit :D

Yeah not a good idea :/ though they`re tiny and a 330ML soda usually has 30-40g of sugar

Doubt it.... sorbitol sounds expensive :D
chappies are 25c each where I get them

Chappies contains 3g of sugar according to the myfitnesspal app. So 5 a day is only 3 teaspoons of sugar. Nothing to worry about ;)

Can't be as bad as smoking, but yeah I would say you should cut down a little before you end up having a Kg of them a day. :D

I never wondered about it, but what flavour is the yellow chappie? :)
You should be fine, ferguson eats alot more gum than you and he's fine.

Thats the problem with kids today, too much focus on the sugar content and not enough focus on the enjoyment factor.

As a child we killed a dozen or so chappies each and every day, it was part of our youth. Perhaps if your mom let you play outside then sugar content might not be an issue.

In the old days it was believed that chewing gum makes a female boobs bigger................

Back in the day R1 could buy 100 chappies! ;) :D Now you need R25 to do the same.

Ouch! Last time I recall buying chappies they cost 1c for the regular and you got a 2c version too. Spearmint wasnt around till much later - I was one of the founder members of the spearmint chappies club lol. Back then the alternative to chappies was Wacky Wicks - musky flavour...
