Hopefully someone can assist.

I am in the US for 3 months roaming on AT&T with an MTN sim card. I have voice calls diverted to voicemail, but keep it on for sms's. From time to time I update the weather on my phone with very small amounts of data. I have a hard time working out if I am going to get nailed with a huge bill. Was hoping someone used to this might enlighten me. I am on anytime 350 with a 10mb data bundle.

1) The data I have used is reflected against my 10MB bundle, but there are no roaming data charges anywhere on my statement or unbilled log on MTNActive

2) The sms's I have sent from here are reflected, but again no charge against them

3) There are a whole lot of calls to 27831000002 of zero duration and zero charge.

4) There is one data call for 23 hours (I assume data - to internet.mnc010), I can only imagine a phone error where it did not reflect that I was connected

So

Are they just really slow to send through the charges from the roaming network, and am I likely to be hit with a huge bill sometime, or do I have free data whilst here :) ? What are the calls to 27831000002? If I am hit with a bill for data roaming is it by data volume or time? If the latter will a 23 hour call bankrupt me?

And whilst on the topic, in the hour before departing (two months back now), I could not get 808 or 173 to answer in order to setup divert voice calls to voicemail, so tried to set up the divert myself. Ended up sending a USSD code as follows: **21*278314831234567. Is this correct? Calls do go to voicemail, but not sure if I am being charged for them. I don't collect my voicemail with the phone (use imail for that), am just worried about being charged for the caller leaving the message.

Thanks anyone who can enlighten me
