Charging at higher amp

Hello everyone

I have a car USB charger adapter that can deliver 5V@2A. Can I use it to charge a Nokia N8 via its micro USB port?

Yes, the phone will only draw the amperage that it needs. I charge my Phones with my tablet charger. Tablet is 2A, phone is 1A. As long as the voltages are the same...
