Charging things via PC

If your pc is on anyway, does charging your phone and iPod thru your computer via USB save electricity? Even if it's a minimal amount, it all counts:D
 
Probly not

Since your PSU for your PC outputs more power and consumes more. AFAIK a 300w PSU consmes max 300w dependent on load. Less load = lower output and lower consumption - i.e. it's not a lightbulb that consumes a constant amount of energy. Electrical fundis?

As you say.. it is minimal...
