It has been the norm for at least 5 years now, right?
 
Career wise, yes, for development/programming I ask questions that fill in gaps in my knowledge which would otherwise entail browsing page after page of documentation or google results.

For computer hobbyist, the same with assembly language to explain the more esoteric concepts.

Pending, not everyone has adopted chatbots since its inception. Now with ChatGPT I won't be surprised to see an adoption boom of AI-powered chatbots.

I have used chatbots for market research, persona research and copywriting since 2020.

Watson has been around a long time as an example of AI. But I believe we are at a point where the tech is accelerating quite quickly and the impact will be bigger.

Yes, of course. I use a variety of AI chatbots, and most have outgrown their initial designed for use cases. The average consumer was unaware of chatbots until ChatGPT was released for public use. Watson, itself, was ahead of its time.

I find that quite surprising. I found that if you have a conversation with it the output is just nuts how good it is. Posing it a question without context can be confusing but just add another fact to to it and it will zoom in to the right thing. I am stunned how good it is, and it is fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

Yeah, and procurement too. I have picked up that Google use a particularly poor one, with a really kak tone, I have to continually repeat myself when responding to tenders.

I wouldn't trust any chatbot to write correspondence to tenders. Good use for designing frameworks, and then creating templates from those frameworks for replying to tenders.

Even with copywriting. You still need to edit, and have it checked for plagiarism, and then edited again before taking it under consideration for publishing or perusal.

Every chatbot I have tried for policy design failed. Again, good use for frameworks.

I wish, damn thing can't even get to 1st base. Makes wonder why people would want to pay for a half baked product.
