Is there any significant difference between lets say a gaming random brand case or the average coolermaster case.

The coolermasters are bigger, heavier, have lots of fans and have easy tool free drive bays that swing out. Otherwise, no, not really.

Branded cases are MUCH easier to work in and much better better airflow. They use beter quality components. I still love my Raidmax Smilodon. Vertically opening side panels ftw.

To be honest i dont really see the difference in high quality cases and gaming cases appart from the obscene amount of fans some have, i have a Antec P193 and it has great airflow and is deadly quiet while not being classified as a gaming case :)
Previous case was a Smilodon aswell, you'd be surprised how much cases have improved since then Qwikslver

Doesn't that case cost like R1800 odd??
I think OP is talking about a case like http://www.rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=1022 compared to say the Antec 900?

I think the best way to say it is you get what you pay for..
Companies put effort into designing cases for various target markets. Different materials for durability and aesthetics, better airflow design for higher end machines etc.

So if you have a low end machine that generates little heat, you dont need the gaming case with extra air flow and 5 fans. The higher end machines may need larger cases for those lengthy graphics cards, and more fans for the extra heat..

So buy accordingly.

Such an adequate answer! Well Played.
what are the odds of me finding u on this site? hahaha

Better case = better airflow, less dust (most newer models), ease of installation, more attention to aesthetics, accomodate high end hardware (GPU, CPU heatsink, watercooling without mods). The end :D
