Cheap phone until old one fixed

hi all
quick advice needed
i am in need of a super budget phone while my old Oneplus gets fixed or if its not repairable until i can get a new better phone
i dont need much from it
calls
emails
few apps ( banking,garmin,whatsapp etc)

dont want to spend big knowing im probably due a new phone soon but want to see if my Oneplus is fixable

an android has already disappointed you, why not get an iphone that never breaks? buy cheap buy twice.

just that its encountered black screen
truth it is is over 6 yrs old lol
i had Iphone 1 for company phone way way back
as for buy cheap..its tempoaray before maybe splashing on Oneplus 13

But android has disappointed you, bad software coupled to bad hardware = black screen.

ok..can you guide me to a sub R1500 iphone then please??
As i said i need budget phone for now

Go to Mr Price or Pep Stores and get a R1k phone like a Redmi 9A (I have one as a backup in my safe)

It can handle basic stuff like Whatsapp/Garmin/Banking etc and is fast enough for a backup.

How long will it take for your OnePlus to be fixed, while using a budget phone?
 
I was thinking the Vivo Y03. It's about R1500 - R1600, depending on where you look. I heard that the hisense and stylo phones are very cheap and terrible to use, and is very laggy.

the one guy says its motherboard but i dont think he has fixed oneplus before
if i can get it fixed i dont think i will upgrade immediatley
so th3e budget is temp until i know status of oneplus 6
 
any of the viva or oppo range worth looking into?
samsung a25 is option with it going to my daughter afterwards
