Voipcheap.com & Lowratevoip.com are now only charging 1 €urocent/minute for calls to SA landlines 24hours/day. Beat that Telskum!!

Test it first, sometimes the latency is bad to Africa
and you have to conduct a push-to-talk walkie talkie
style phone comversation

Agreed that is an excellent rate:
Telkom phones: 9.7c/min
Mobile calls: 87c/min

Lowrate voip is excelent when calling europe or the far east, africa a bit much latency but fine for the price. Also what I find that sometimes i get charged 3 euro cent/min for south african but then reverts back to 1cent after a few calls,

If you load 10 Euro do you get 300 Free Minutes to those FREE destinations per week? Do you have to buy credit every month?

When does credit expire?

When does credit expire?

1. Yes, you get 300 minutes free per week for up to 120 days - their so called "Freedays"

2. No, you do not have to buy credit every month, only when your credit expires. If you top up with another 10 Euro before your "Freedays" expire, you can make free calls for another 120 days. If you do not top up then you will pay their published rates for the free destinations - usually around 0.012-0.02 Euro/min.

3. These companies fall under german jurisdiction and according to German law the credit in your account will never expire.
