CHEAP SMS SETUP INSTRUCTIONS FOR MTN USERS:
1. Setup MTNLoaded account at www.mtn.co.za.
2. Setup mail account after registration.
3. Goto Folders and setup sms notification on Inbox.
4. Edit aliases to add [name\anythingyouwant]@mtnloaded.co.za as your e-mail address.
5. Edit MTNLoaded Profile to ad [number]@mtnloaded.co.za as e-mail address.

CHEAP SMS SENDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MTN USERS:
1. Send e-mail from phone, for less than 160 characters, to vodacom customers to [number]@voda.co.za. This is an unlimited service from Vodacom. They make money when you send longer mails. They would then ask the receiver to send M for more of the message. They then pay for that sms.
2. Send e-mail to non-MTNLoaded, MTN customers, for less than 160 characters, to [number]@sms.co.za (cannot be done from Samsung D600). This is limited to 5 sms's per day.
3. Send e-mail to MTNLoaded, MTN customers to [number]@mtnloaded.co.za (Samsung D600 users can only send to [name\anythingyouwant]@mtnloaded.co.za). The receiver gets sms notification of incoming mail. This is the prompt to retreive and reply. This comes without limitations.

Thanks. How does sms.co.za make its money? Should it work on all 3 networks? Tested it to a Vodacom number but SMS hasn't come thru yet.

Only works from MTNLoaded customers to MTN customers. MTN does not make money from it. That is why it is limited to 5 per day. It will stimulate sms conversation from the non-MTNLoaded customer, so they do make money in the end. You use [number]@voda.co.za to Vodacom customers as described in my original post.
